This spectacular Stanfield came from Callaway Co Missouri and comes with a Jerry Dickey Certificate of Authenticity. It is obviously authentic and shows nice use with great patination. Jerry calls this Jefferson City chert and it may well be, but it has the quality and color of Avon chert. It shows excellent flaking overall and nice edge work. It is incredibly thin for its size and is one of the better blades we've had for sale for some time. I have no doubt it will make an awesome addition to any authentic collection. This point was hard to photograph and looks even better in person! In fact, this blade was nice enough to put in our Web Museum and will available to look at there for the foreseeable future in the Early Archaic section.
