This DOVETAIL came from Stoddard Co Missouri and is no brainer authentic. A friend of mine decided to thin out his collection and we bought the entire group of 450 pieces. The pieces come from Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois, Kentucky, and Texas. The last few pictures show the majority of the group. This one shows nice use and patination. It is made from nice local material. It has nice edge work and a good tip. It has a very nice form overall and there is no modern damage. It has an ancient ding on one of the tangs but is an otherwise perfect example. It will still make a great addition to any authentic collection.
